'Water's Edge' Vacation Escape for Rent

One of the most beautiful lakefront homes in Pine Mountain. Three stories, a great room with a beautiful fireplace, game room, billiards, remodeled kitchen, private dock, two decks, barbecue, bunk beds. Great for reunions, romantic escapes, holidays.

 

The space

This is one of the most highly desired locations on the lake and you'll be enchanted with watching the sunset, sipping coffee in the morning off of the top deck, reading a book on the shady second deck, fishing for trophy sized trout and bass off of the private dock, or just sitting in the great room in front of the stone fireplace catching up with family and friends.

Guest access

The house is located within the gated community of Pine Mountain lake and is 20 minutes from the southern entrance to Yosemite and an hour to Curry Village. Check in time is 3:00. The front gate access fee is $25.00 per vehicle. Carpooling is highly encouraged as parking is limited. As a guest you will have access to tennis courts, premium riding stables, your own private fishing dock and one of the most beautiful golf courses in the Sierra. If you need more space for your family or group, then this home holds 10 plus comfortably and with mountain style. Wifi access is available to you in the home during your stay and passwords will be provided once you check in. Your fees include cleaning and folded linen service on the edge of your bed made available for you and your guests.

Interaction with guests

We provide complete details on the home and surrounding areas. Local assistance is also available should you need it. There's a local market for your own personal necessities if you forget anything like shampoo, need cold medicine or would just like a really nice bottle of wine.

Other things to note

There is a cleaning fee service ($160) charged for every party as well as rental towel and linen service ($125) available.. The home must be left in the condition that you found it. Any damage to the property will be deducted from your security deposit. Security deposits will be refunded less any damage within ten days. At the moment, outside fires are not permitted due to high fire danger however the house has a lovely stone fireplace that we use year round. This is a non-smoking home. Well behaved pets are welcome!

 Groveland, CA 

Highway 120 is the most direct route from the San Francisco Bay Area to Yosemite, and is open all year round. (Highway 120 over Tioga Pass closes in winter.)

Stop for lunch! We have a wide variety of restaurants, from the informal PJ's Cafe with its breakfast, lunch, and pizza, to the formal Pine Mountain Lake restaurant at the golf course.

There is more pizza at Two Guys Pizza and at Pizza Factory.

Or stop for expresso at the Firefall Coffee Roasting Company, at the Mountain Sage Coffee Shop, or tea at Dori's Tea Cottage.

For dinner there is the Charlotte Bistro & Bar, the Cellar Door restaurant at the Groveland Hotel, and the Grill at Pine Mountain Lake. A little further away is Buck Meadows Restaurant and the restaurant at the Evergreen Lodge.

Play golf at the Pine Mountain Lake Golf Course.

Groveland is a popular place for visitors to Yosemite to stay overnight, with accommodations ranging from the elegant, historic Groveland Hotel to the inexpensive American Adventure Hostel, to Indian teepees and yurts. There are also bed and breakfasts, and many rental cabins are available, some near Groveland and others further along the route to Yosemite.
